The museum, with an area of 1,020 m2, is fully enclosed, which establishes a certain parallel with a music box. The facade has a concavity that brings to mind the horn of phonographs and gramophones and marks the entrance of the building. The visitor then has the opportunity to enter this great "music box", travel in time, explore and listen with great curiosity to hundreds of mechanical instruments, distributed over five exhibition galleries arranged around a central courtyard. The staircase and elevator lead us to the document room, the auditorium with 70 seats or the multipurpose room. Miguel Marcelino architect is the mastermind behind the ambitious project.
